yippee yeah! off to germany before we know it. can't wait....well, i can wait, because before that we have a two week vacation in glorious michigan! just in time too - this weekend it's supposed to be 107 in vegas and i am sure it will steadily creep up from there.
today we had our final OB appointment here at nellis. my belly is measuring right on target, baby's heartbeat is 144ish, and the readings from last week's ultrasound are in! my amniotic fluid (which was previously low) has increased to right in the middle of the healthy range!!! yeah! also, they no longer see the hypogenic areas in my placenta that they saw at the 20 week scan. the baby is approximately two pounds and growing on schedule. my placenta is in the back so from that my midwife said i should be feeling lots of fetal movement from the front (which i am). she also said that i don't have placenta previa. all good news - so, so happy. she then asked me why i didn't do the glucose test for gestational diabetes last week and i told her that i didn't want to and i didn't think it was necessary. she then decided to instill the fear of God in me about how horrible it would be if i had gestational diabetes and it went undiagnosed (but i already eat really healthy and workout daily) and if they didn't also check my iron levels i could have postpartum hemorrhaging and die (but i already take iron supplements daily as well), blah, blah, blah....so i was a pushover and walked to the lab and did it. i get the results tomorrow.
