first OB appt. in Germany

so we're a bit over 33 weeks pregnant now....and haven't been to the doctor in over five weeks when we should be going every two. needless to say, this appt. was a little overdue. :) like i said before, the hospital is freakish from the outside and it was no different this time. i wanted to take a picture of all the old codgers sitting around the "no smoking" sign in their wheelchairs smoking about one foot from the hospital entrance. classic. my friend lauren told me that she saw someone IN the lobby smoking when she came for an appointment. hilarious!!!!!!! anyway, all is well says doctor locher! the baby's heartbeat is regular and hovering around 145. we were hooked up to the fetal monitoring device for 30 minutes and while it was attached to my belly the baby was pushing at it. i think it sensed an invasion of its privacy. the doctor showed us all four chambers of the heart, the kidneys, liver, stomach, spine, and even ventured down to the nether regions to show us the bladder....but thankfully we didn't catch a glimpse of anything else, if you know what i mean. the baby is about 4.4 lbs. (an estimate of course) and we got some new 3d/4d pictures of it sleeping peacefully with its hands curled up by its face. i'll post those later. we have to go in every two weeks now, so we have three more appointments like that, and then we come in every other day! it's so near - we need to get our shit together, that's for sure.

here are two other favorite photos we took in belgium that i forgot to post earlier:

love,
s

You are seeing Dr. Lochar? I loved him. He was odd sometimes but such a sweet man. Having a baby in Germany is amazing. I'm so excited for you guys.
